“Are you okay?” a soft voice asks, as you dizzily try to regain your vision. No way, was that Kurenai-sensei? You must be dreaming! Pinching your eyes closed, and also pinching your arm, you shake your head, only to look up to the same woman again. “Don’t hurt yourself! Hang on, Tsunade-sama is coming,” she tries to assure you. Your arms and legs are too weak to move.
“Wh-who is it sensei?” a shy voice asks.
“Hina-chan!” you suddenly scream and, with all your might, push yourself up to see Hinata staring at you, slightly dazed.
“H-how do you kn-know my name?” she stutters, slightly frightened. You sigh, realizing these ninjas do not know that they are actually an anime from the world you come from. You were just wondering how the hell you got into the Naruto universe as the fifth Hokage arrives.
“Who are you?” she asks sternly.
“Eevee,” you answer.
“Where do you come from?”
“I come from,” you bite your lip. They would never believe you if you said you came from an alternate universe, “from a small village that is now no more. I am looking for a place to stay but everyone has shut me out,” you lie. You hate lying but it has to be done until you get back home.
“I believe her,” Shino simply states. Tsunade nods.
“Okay then, I’ll have Sakura check out any wounds you may have. You will be under probation for a week, and then you are free to do whatever you want,”
The check up with Sakura goes smoothly and there appears to be nothing wrong except a few minor bruises on your back, arms and legs. You are ushered into the waiting area.
“Aww man why do I have to do such a low ranked mission?” you hear a voice complaining. You listen carefully, feeling slightly guilty for eavesdropping.
“Because our team found her and Shino and Hinata are both busy,” Kiba. It must be him! You quickly sit down again and pretend to look like you are dumb to the situation.
“Hey, I’m Kiba!” the boy walks in, “and this is Akamaru,” he continues, pointing at his dog. You have the urge to say ‘I know’ but fight it.
“I’m Eevee. Nice to meet you Kiba,” you tell him, nodding.
“Yeah, I heard,” he laughs slightly. “So, what’s your story?” he asks curiously.
“Well my village was attacked by another village and since then I don’t have a home and have been looking around for a place to stay,” you say again, hoping the brown-haired falls for it.
“Geez, that sucks,” he says sympathetically. You nod.

It’s finally the last day of your probation and it hadn’t been long before you and Kiba became best buds. You’ve been playing with Akamaru and encouraging Hinata every day.  You even saw Shino training his bugs, although that wasn’t your favourite part in Konoha.
The sun shines brightly on the lush green grass and your hair flows nicely on the wind as you watch Kiba chasing Akamaru with a branch. They were playing fetch until Akamaru decided to play tricky and apparently told Kiba to ‘go fetch’. You giggle slightly and smile at the scene, glad you can see this whether it is a dream or not.
After a while Kiba whistles and apparently yells something because Akamaru grabs the stick out of his hand and starts jumping around; probably training himself.  Kiba walks up to you and reaches out a hand to pull you up.
“Just had to show Akamaru who is top dog around here,” he smirks. You laugh.
“I saw,” you run a hand to your hair and push it behind your ear. The hair you got in this world looks just like Hinata’s shippuden hairstyle, and you’re still having trouble getting used to it.
Kiba leans in slightly. “I, um… I actually have something for you,” he says, shuffling his feet slightly. Odd. That’s not his usual behavior. You’re amused as you realise what’s up.
The boy walks behind you and pulls the strands of hair on your neck up slightly. You look down to see a blue coloured amulet. A gasp escapes your mouth as you feel the smooth edges. It’s real precious and clearly very expensive. “Kiba…” you mutter under your breath, and before you know it your lips collide. His breath tastes better than expected, and his lips aren’t as wet as a dog fortunately. In fact, they are just warm enough and really soft. You grin as the moment seems to last forever. But even the kiss comes to an end as the two of you pull back. “Kiba, I,”
“You have to go, I know,” he says. If he had doggy ears, they would be drooping down right now. Sadness reflects in his eyes.
“I love you,” you say.
You see his joyous facial expression for a split second as you open your eyes. You’re clutching your blanket and your arms, legs and back hurt slightly. Your mouth feels warm and you get up and groan. Your hand slides over your neck; a beautiful blue amulet is hanging there. You smile.
